The MAZAK FLASH TOOL(patent pending) has been independently developed by Mazak in order to maximize the versatility of the INTEGREX series with a range of diameters and lengths.

No ATC = Minimized Cycle time There are much less tool interference when FLASH TOOL change its operation, turret does not have to go to the ATC position to index and orient insert's angle. Elimination of accumulated time of repositioning and ATC time will dramatically reduce cycle time.	EXAMPLE... If 15 machining processes are integrated on INTEGREX 100SY, which has tool-to-tool of 1.19 sec, the machine operation saves 17.85 sec from none-cutting time.
Simple Programming The advanced Mazatrol FUSION 640 CNC manages, Automatic positioning for each insert Automatic B-axis determination for different   machining operations Automatic determination for forward or reverse   turning spindle rotation according to the   orientation of each cutting inserts, in addition to   cutting conditions of both milling and turning   operation.

Insert & Holder management

EXAMPLE... The inserts that are used for both milling and turning reaches their life quicker than others. If one inserts reaches its life, CNC judge, as "it is not good for milling" and automatically replace it with a spare tool. If the remaining process is only turning, then CNC uses another insert instead to save the ATC time. In addition, even when only one insert is replaced with new insert, pre-registered lifetime of other inserts remains not to waste any inserts. As you can see that multi-tasks of FLASH TOOL are supported automatically by sophisticated functions in various ways, and there will be no special and complicated tool management for installing FLASH TOOL.

Sophisticated CNC watches and precisely monitors and calculates pre-registered lifetime of each insert as FLASH TOOL is used. If any of the inserts reaches its end, it will automatically be replaced by a spare tool. The tool can be used again by simply replacing the inserts.

Available specifications
The standard 4-insert Flash Tool is available with 3 diameters and short and long tool lengths. Additionally the FLASH TOOL with 2, 3 or 6-insert versions.

FLASH TOOL is applicable for all INTEGREX-III series / INTEGREX e -series and previous INTEGREX-II series.
